CELLO WIZARD JUNIOR, BOOK 1:The exercises in each lesson lead up to three different pieces that can be played with any combination of violins ,violas, and cellos. This excerpt from Sweet Rose show the section in which students may improvise using a G major scale while the rest of the ensemble plays a written accompaniment. Though the score in each edition corresponds to one particular instrument, an orchestra performance would often feature violins playing line A (an octave above this score sample), violas line B and cellos line C.
